Archives behind the scenes - theatres & public halls

In this episode we're looking at theatres and public halls files.

These were created by the Chief Secretary's Department and then later by the Department of Local Government and cover the years 1895 to 1922. The files relate to the licensing of theatres and public halls all over New South Wales - there is a file for each one and they are listed by name in our catalogue. Have a look at what you can find in a file.
