The Mint throws open its doors on Friday evenings for this special after-hours series in March. Join us after work at Bullion Store for delicious drinks, snacks and a dose of history.
The much-loved Bullion Store transforms into a bespoke bar featuring a delicious drinks and snacks menu. Indulge in a special bar menu of Wagyu beef or vegan burgers, popcorn chicken, truffle fries and more. Our beverage partner Brix Distillery joins the Bullion Store bar offering custom rum cocktails and spirits, honouring the unique narrative embedded in this iconic building. After a well-earned drink, join one of our drop-in tours running throughout the evening to hear from our expert staff about the fascinating and complex history of this Sydney heritage landmark.
Built for a cost of 45,000 gallons of rum, The Mint is rich in history. Originally part of Governor Macquarie’s ‘Rum’ hospital for convicts it later became the first branch of the Royal Mint outside London.
Drop-in tours: will begin at 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm and run for around 20 minutes. Staff will be onsite to direct you to the tour meeting point when you arrive.
Food and beverage: will be available to purchase from Bullion store throughout the evening. View the menu.
