Bios
Astro-High: having emerged through the underground of Western Sydney, Astro High pays homage to the classics while introducing audiences to the new and latest from the artists you don’t know yet, though probably should. Spanning an eclectic sound ranging from the vigour of Garage to the soulfulness of R&B, this diversity in taste comes from years of work as a multi-genre performing and recording artist, writing and releasing across the spectrum of music from hiphop to indie rock.'

Ella Haber: since releasing her first single in February 2019, 25-year-old Sydney artist Ella Haber hasmade her arrival known. After receiving support for her debut EP, CLAY, from local andinternational radio (BBC 1XTRA, MiSoul, Jazz FM, Worldwide FM, triple J, FBiradio) Ellawent on to sell out her first Sydney show, and complete her first East Coast headline tour, incelebration of the Jordan Rakei-produced record. Following up her tour with supports for thelikes of Julien Dyne, Lord Echo, Ngaiire, Surprise Chef,Kamaal Williams; Alfa Mist, Ella’sreputation as a multi-instrumentalist–playing piano, trumpet and guitar–and powerfullyevocative songwriter is weaving its way through her communities, both at home and abroad.

Jerome Blazé: originally from the Southern Highlands of NSW, is a music producer and songwriter. His music draws on electronic, folk, neoclassical and modern jazz. He has led sold-out collaborative show with Sydney folk-adjacent artists Sarah Levins, Oliver Beard and Ivy-Jane Browne.

Mary Rapp: Mary Heart hollers rhythm and blues classics as she pumps out driving bass lines on her double bass named ‘Craig’. Sydney’s Mary Heart is an all-out entertainer and pays homage to the greats of the past. She has a widespread reputation for her unique blend of foot-stomping rock-n-roll, rollicking swing, and blues-based, upbeat rhythms. Heart always shares the stage with the crème de la crème of Australia’s music scene to ensure rip-roaring live shows. She brings the sounds of Ray Charles, Elvis Presley, Wanda Jackson, Ruth Brown and Chuck Berry to let the good times roll.

Mi-kaisha: vocalist Mi-kaisha splits her time between Warrang (Sydney) and Lenapehoking (New York City). Her music draws upon soul tradition and pop melodies and is guided by hard-hitting lyrics about her experience as a young Aboriginal and Pacific Islander woman.

MUNGMUNG: Sydney based, multi-disciplinary Hip-Hop, RnB and Pop artist MUNGMUNG transports youinto a world of authentic creativity through her bold aesthetic, powerful vocals and infectiousmelodies. MUNGMUNG delivers unmatched live performance energy with lyrics that paytribute to the hip-hop greats.

Selasie: born and raised in the Western suburbs of Sydney, Selasie grew up on a heavy diet of reggae and old school R&B thanks to his Ghanaian mother, who would play Peter Tosh, Aaliyah and Outkast records at home in Wiley Park. Recording at home with a basic set-up, Selasie began to realise his musical ambitions and was soon uploading his demos to Soundcloud – where he’d pen verses and sing over instrumentals from the likes of Goldlink and Kaytranada. For The Sky EP is a culmination of many years of studio hopping and honing his unique, genre-defiant sound that has already been praised by the likes of Acclaim for his ‘ability to combine open-book lyricism with passion-fueled melodies makes him a prospect to keep your eye on’ and AUD$ noting he ‘mesmerises listeners with his smooth melodies.’
