Harry Seidler 100

In celebration of the 100th birthday of Harry Seidler, MHNSW will open the doors of Rose Seidler House, ‘the most talked about house in Sydney’, for a festive focus weekend on 24 and 25 June.

Explore the iconic modernist house and surrounding garden, relax with a coffee on the lawn, see special items from the collection and hear from experts as they share insights and the research that has informed the maintenance and presentation of Rose Seidler House and the Harry Seidler story.

On Saturday 24 June join us for two, bespoke, ticketed events with architect Penelope Seidler AM. In the morning hear Penelope Seidler and long-time Seidler associate Colin Griffiths, in conversation with Polly Seidler, as they explore Rose Seidler House and their lives and stories with Harry Seidler. In the afternoon Penelope will lead an exclusive tour of Rose Seidler House followed by refreshments.

On Sunday 25 June we invite you to explore the house and the garden. Museums of History NSW staff will be on-hand to answer your questions and bring attention to the personal and professional life of Harry Seidler and to special items within the collection. Hear from curators, gardeners, guides and heritage specialists who will be sharing their insights throughout the day. A coffee cart will be serving freshly brewed coffee and snacks all day.

Sunday entry is free with registration.
