Family Fun Day

These school holidays, Museums of History NSW is partnering with the Parliament of NSW and State Library of NSW for Family Fun Day.

Join us for a range of free, drop-in activities at the Hyde Park Barracks and The Mint. You can make your own convict love token, build a paper replica of the UNESCO World Heritage–listed Barracks, get hands-on with a convict bricklaying activity or adventure through time with a tailored audio guide and activity trail for kids. Hear the fascinating story of the Barracks as told in the words of convicts and immigrants who lived there, listen for clues and complete fun activities.

Don’t forget to head over to grassed courtyard at The Mint to play traditional lawn games, available until 1pm.
