You can explore the house on your own or ask our staff for information.
An introductory video (17 minutes, with subtitles) plays on a loop in the exhibition room on the first floor.

Accessibility
Mind your step. As Elizabeth Bay House is a heritage site, some surfaces may be uneven or worn. Please take care when walking through the house, especially on staircases and thresholds. Sensible footwear is recommended

Visitors are welcome to capture memories of their visit, but photography at this site is carefully managed to protect visitor safety and ensure that everyone enjoys their experience. By entering, you agree to follow our Photography conditions of use.
- Casual photography is limited to handheld devices only. Tripods, lighting rigs, reflectors or other professional equipment is not permitted.
- Please ensure visitor safety and access at all times – never block stairways, doorways or pathways.
- Disruptive photography, such as staging shoots, interfering with displays or interrupting other visitors’ enjoyment, will result in your being asked to stop immediately or to leave the premises.
- To keep the space welcoming for all, our team may enforce these conditions at any time.
- Photo shoots or filming that requires exclusive access, professional equipment or set-up time, or is for commercial, staged or promotional purposes, must be booked in advance through our Venue Hire team.
