How to finish your sewing square
Hello! We hope your students or children enjoyed their day with us at Rouse Hill Estate taking part in a school lesson just as students would have done in 1889.
Our museums and historic houses are FREE to visit, so why not bring your child back on the weekend, let them give you a tour of Rouse Hill Estate, bring a picnic, visit the LEGO room, and find out what they learned from their excursion? You can find opening hours here.
What a busy day we had at Rouse Hill Estate! We went back in time to 1889 and experienced school life in the in the schoolhouse with Miss Fox. We wore costumes, wrote on slate boards, studied the silkworm, skipped around the maypole, learnt the running stitch and so much more. We had a wonderful and memorable day!
