Originally a branch of Sydney Benevolent Society, the government took charge of Liverpool Asylum in 1862. Throughout its existence the asylum provided refuge for infirm and destitute men. This webinar will explore the records of the Liverpool Asylum for the Infirm and Destitute (1862-1933) and was later known as the Liverpool State Hospital and Home (1933-1961).
