The Water Police Court

This heritage courtroom features a magistrate’s bench and canopy, high ceilings, beautiful wood panelling and excellent acoustics.

Innovative built-in lighting options for day and evening make this a versatile venue for all types of events. The adjoining summons courtroom and covered sandstone verandah overlooking Circular Quay provide indoor/outdoor areas for refreshment breaks, cocktail parties and pre-dinner drinks.


The Water Police Court features the following integrated audiovisual facilities, ensuring clients have access to seamless technology included with their venue hire:

  • AV technician
  • data projector and a 3-by-2.4-metre drop-down screen
  • lectern with lectern microphone
  • internal PA system
  • whiteboard or flip chart (on request)
  • complimentary wi-fi.

Food and beverage services at the Justice & Police Museum are provided by Pearl Catering. Pearl’s team of restaurant and catering professionals bring a true commitment to event management, creativity and innovation.

Gold Licence caterers are also welcome to operate on this site upon application.

Please note that the service of red wine can only be served at seated events.
