Unlocking Past Lives

How many of us have old family photographs filled with people and objects of the past? Some of the detail of these photographs can seem mysterious if not impenetrable to viewers in the 21st century.

Join Mathew Stephens, research librarian at the Caroline Simpson Library, as he uses the library’s specialist collection including rare books and journals, trade catalogues, wallpaper samples, historic textiles, and family archives to explore the contexts of a selection of historic family photographs.
