By public transport

We are located about 45km northwest of the Sydney CBD, just off the Windsor Road opposite Bunnings Hardware.

Train

The closest Metro stations are Rouse Hill Station and Tallawong Station, which are about 2.5km and 3km to Rouse Hill Estate respectively. When walking from Tallawong Station, please be advised there are currently uneven surfaces due to roadworks.

Bus

There are buses from Parramatta, Blacktown and Sydney CBD to Rouse Hill town centre, which is about 2km or 30 minutes on foot from Rouse Hill Estate.

There are two buses that run from Rouse Hill Metro station to Rouse Hill Estate. They are the 643 and 740 and will drop you a 4 minute walk away from the site.

By road

Parking

We have limited, free car parking outside the Visitor Centre, including 2 bus parking bays and 4 designated accessible parking bays.

Cycling

Bike lanes between Parramatta and Windsor via Rouse Hill Town Centre run directly past our Visitor Centre, and we have bike racks to store your bikes.

Rouse Hill Estate is a semi-rural property with livestock and native wildlife. We recommend that you wear enclosed footwear to explore the gardens and grounds, and walk on well-trodden paths.

For visitors with limited mobility

There is ramp access into the main house, but no level or ramp access into the school house. We have a people mover to help visitors with limited mobility get around the property.

There is an accessible toilet in the Visitor Centre and education area.

For visitors with limited vision or hearing

Some rooms may be dimly lit depending on the weather and time of year.

This charismatic 19th-century sandstone house with picturesque grounds and purpose-built facilities across the property is the perfect venue for small seminars, presentations and workshops, as well as wedding ceremonies, photography and commercial filming projects.
