Weaving on Country with Malima

Malima, a family business from the La Perouse Aboriginal Community, share traditional Aboriginal weaving techniques. In this immersive workshop, learn about cultural knowledge and practices that connect weaving to Country.

This hands-on experience offers a unique opportunity to connect with Dharawal culture, history and storytelling through weaving. Learn foundational weaving techniques while gaining insight into Aboriginal cultural practices and respect for Country. Set within the historic grounds of Vaucluse House, the workshop invites you to slow down, learn from experienced weavers and create your own woven piece to take home.
