Tours of Macquarie Lightstation

Explore the iconic Macquarie Lightstation, home to Australia’s first lighthouse. Join us to uncover the fascinating story behind its construction and its vital role in shaping Australia’s maritime history. This tour also highlights the cultural significance of the area for First Nations peoples and reveals how the dramatic coastline has evolved since the last ice age. Visitors will ascend the lighthouse to discover the lantern room and emerge onto the balcony to enjoy sweeping views of Sydney Harbour and the Pacific Ocean.

Plus, gain exclusive behind-the-scenes insights from Harbour Trust Heritage Architect Catherine Macarthur, who will share details of the recent restoration of the historic Greenway Wall.
