History Kids in the Garden at Vaucluse House
Learn about the first people who lived and still live upon this land, the Gadigal and Birrabirrigal people, then join us for hands-on activities where kids will discover what life was like for a servant in colonial times!
We’ll explore the garden, discovering local Indigenous plants and their uses. We’ll plant some seeds and get to work helping the cook prepare for the Eliza Wentworth's special birthday dinner. If you’re to earn your keep, you’d better roll up your sleeves and get busy.
We’ll finish the program with a delicious historic barley water and biscuit. (Gluten free options will be available).
