Country Women's Association Masterclass

Join us for a special masterclass at Vaucluse House with the Country Women’s Association (CWA). You’ll learn the secrets behind some of the CWA’s most treasured recipes, including their signature scones, cinnamon biscuits and a date and nutmeg cake.

CWA markets coordinator and experienced cook Lisa Maude and MHNSW curator Dr Jacqui Newling will guide you through the steps of baking a series of time-honoured classics. They’ll share their practical tips and tricks to enhance your baking skills, alongside culinary stories and traditions from the properties cared for by Museums of History NSW.

You’ll go away with new-found skills and confidence plus copies of the recipes to make at home.

Join Lisa and Jacqui at the end of the demonstration for a delicious morning or afternoon tea of homemade treats made from recipes featured in the masterclass.

Please note that we are unable to cater to specific dietary requirements for the morning/afternoon tea.

Members get more: Complimentary CWA apron valued at $20 with each ticket purchase.

Parking: The Vaucluse House carpark will be closed until mid-August for major upgrade works. On-street parking is available on Wentworth and Olola Avenues.
