Château Reawakening
Australian couple Felicity Selkirk and Tim Holding’s restoration of the dilapidated Château de Purnon is an internet sensation. Their weekly videos capture the immensity and the beauty of the home, with thousands tuning in to follow along on their journey.
Join us at The Mint for a special event where Tim and Felicity will transport guests to the Loire Valley for a night with a presentation that provides insights into their experience since buying the crumbling 18th-century masterpiece in 2020. Hear firsthand about the magic of the chateau, the challenges of its restoration, and the unexpected and enchanting discoveries they’ve made along the way.
After the presentation, guests can visit the Caroline Simpson Library, where exclusive displays will dive deeper into the history of French architecture, design and culture, including special pieces recovered from the castle itself.
Tim Holding will be available for book signings after the presentation. His book, Chateau Reawakening: One couple’s wild and wonderful journey to restore a crumbling French masterpiece, will be available to purchase at the event, or it can be pre-purchased here.
