Burrinjuck Dam - A tourist's playground

From our Collection we bring you "Tourist paradise: Burrinjuck Dam Holiday Playground."

A promotional film produced c.1950s/1960s by the Electricity Commission of New South Wales it shows visitors to the dam enjoying the holiday spot: camping, fishing and water skiing.

A mighty reservoir of stored water on the Murrumbidgee River, the dam is a major water conservation achievement but it also supplies 20,000 kilo watts of electricity for the State network from two Electricity Commission power stations. Burrinjuck is rapidly becoming a holiday playground.
