State Archives - Copies of Documents (CODs) – listing and resource mapping
Deadline: 10am Monday 24 August 2026
Working with the NSW State Archives Collection, this placement offers an archives or information management student the chance to list and map the Reading Room's Copies of Documents (CODs) — paper copies of high-use records held in a legacy system in need of review.
Under the guidance of the Lead Archivist, Access Services, the student will map CODs to their Series number, identify where information exists elsewhere, and scope digitisation opportunities, helping to build a consolidated reference source that improves access for staff and the public.
It's a hands-on opportunity to work alongside expert staff, get close to one of the state's most significant collections, and build practical skills in the Australian Series System and archival data structures, contributing to a project with lasting benefits for MHNSW's collection management and public access.
Location: Western Sydney Records Centre, Kingswood
