New ways to explore Vaucluse House and its gardens

Published on Tuesday 17 March 2026

We’ve been working on two exciting new projects to make Vaucluse House and its grounds more accessible, offering visitors flexible and inclusive ways to connect with this remarkable estate.

Gardens and grounds audio tour

Discover the stories of the Vaucluse House gardens and grounds at your own pace with our new audio tour – an inclusive and accessible way to explore the estate’s history, cultural landscape and First Nations connections.

Follow the stops as you wander through the estate or simply sit and listen from your favourite spot. Hosted by former ABC broadcaster Robbie Buck, the tour features insights from members of the La Perouse Aboriginal community alongside Museums of History NSW curators and other specialists, offering rich and diverse perspectives on this special place.

Whether you’re exploring on foot or pausing to reflect, the audio tour provides a flexible way to experience the stories woven through the landscape.
