First Nations Community Access to Archives (FNCAA) project

This placement is for a student who identifies as First Nations.
MHNSW, in partnership with the Aboriginal Languages Trust, has developed the First Nations Community Access to Archives (FNCAA) project, to enhance First Nations access to important archival records that could unlock information about their histories and Languages.
Under direction and supervision from the FNCAA Senior Advisor, the tertiary student will assist in searching the State Archives Collection to identify First Nations Language and Culture. Working within a supportive team, the student will gain valuable experience through assisting with physical page turning of records, data collection, and digitisation of materials to prepare for community access.
Location: Western Sydney Records Centre, Kingswood.
