Bridge Street Social with Heineken at the Museum of Sydney

The Museum of Sydney forecourt comes alive this spring and summer with the arrival of Bridge Street Social, a vibrant new pop-up in the heart of the city featuring the Heineken Silver Airstream Bar. Between 8 October and 28 February, the forecourt is transformed into an urban beer garden from Wednesday to Friday, 4pm–8pm, for crisp drinks, relaxed bites and good company.

Pouring straight from the Heineken Silver Airstream, the pop-up serves Heineken Original, Silver and 0.0, alongside easy-drinking wines and spritzes that taste like summer. Take a seat under the umbrellas, enjoy the sunshine, and let DJs set the late-afternoon soundtrack as the city slows down for the day. Bridge Street Social keeps things simple and sociable with the menu focusing on shareable plates and crowd favourites, from the signature Social Wings to fries and chips on a stick.

The pop-up is delivered by the team at House Made Hospitality, the creative force behind This Way Canteen, the Museum of Sydney’s own sandwich bunker. Their growing portfolio includes some of Sydney’s most recognisable venues: Hinchcliff House (home to Grana, Lana and Apollonia); Martinez, a French-inspired rooftop terrace at Quay Quarter Tower; and the four venues within Sofitel Sydney Wentworth – tilda, bar tilda, Delta Rue and the Wentworth Bar. With Bridge Street Social, they’ve channelled their distinctive mix of quality, simplicity and vibe into an outdoor concept that’s made for summer afternoons.

The Museum of Sydney sits on the site of Australia’s first Government House, a home and workplace for nine governors, and an important meeting place. Today, the forecourt is once again a place for people to gather. As part of Museums of History NSW’s ongoing commitment to activating heritage places as living, breathing parts of Sydney, Bridge Street Social transforms the forecourt into a relaxed cultural hub – a place to pause, connect and enjoy the city from a new perspective.
