The Project: History Extension Seminar Day

Presented by Museums of History NSW and the State Library of NSW, this seminar day will equip students with the tools, advice and confidence to embark on their major project.

This year for the first time, the History Extension Project Seminar Day will be delivered as a hybrid event. Students have the option to attend the full day program in person, or half a day online (morning sessions only). Whether attending in person or virtually, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with museum, library and history professionals, History Extension experts, and former History Extension students.

Highlights of this year’s seminar include a Q&A with award-winning journalist, author and history enthusiast Marc Fennell, and a chance to learn all the tips and tricks from high-performing History Extension students from recent years. Students attending the program in person can also attend a series of afternoon workshops designed to spark curiosity and allow students to speak with experts and network with their peers. All attendees will receive access to a suite of online content, including research tips and presentations from previous years.

Tickets for this event will be available from Monday 15 September. Mark the date in your calendar now to avoid missing out!

This event is FREE for Australian schools with an Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA) value of less than 1000, or a special school, as defined by ACARA.
