The following is information you need to know before attending the History Extension Seminar Day, including session details and locations.

Afternoon sessions
Getting to the State Library of New South Wales
Bus
Private buses can stop at the public bus stop on Macquarie Street (outside Parliament House) to drop off and pick up passengers. There are also bus parking zones on Macquarie Street where drivers are required to remain with their vehicles.
Train and Metro
The nearest train stations are Martin Place (250 metres from the library), Wynyard (450 metres) and St James (550 metres). Martin Place is also a Metro station. For up-to-date timetables or to find the quickest public transport routes visit the Transport Infoline or call 131 500.
Ferry
The nearest ferry stop is Circular Quay (700 metres).
Parking
There is very limited metered street parking on Hospital Road. The nearest parking station is at Sydney Hospital, on Hospital Road (300 metres). There are other parking stations on Macquarie Street. Please note that the library does not have an accessible drop-off zone. Some accessible parking spaces are available within 300 metres of the library.
What should students and teachers bring?
Bags
We encourage you to bring only what is essential for your visit. Students may wish to bring a notepad or device for note takings. Cloaking will not be available. Please ensure that your first-aid kit contains the medications required by your students.
Lunch
Please bring morning tea and lunch, as students will not have time to purchase food and drinks during the breaks. No catering will be provided during the event.
Supervision
All student groups must be supervised by at least one teacher or supervising adult. If students are split between multiple locations during afternoon workshops, please ensure one supervisor is present at each location.
