Agency archives retrieval

Once archives have been transferred to our custody the record cannot be added to or altered in any way.

To request a state archive, contact archives.retrieval@mhnsw.au or submit the online request form. All archive retrievals are delivered digitally.

Please note that fees apply for retrieving state archives in our custody. For details, contact archives.retrieval@mhnsw.au.

Digital deliveries are provided via the GRRWeb platform. You will need access to GRRWeb to download requested archives; our team will assist in setting this up.

Alternatively, state archives can be viewed in person, free of charge, at the Western Sydney Records Centre, Kingswood. A reader’s ticket is required to access original material.
